Information About Bursary Applications

Policy

From September 2020, as funds are limited, the Trustees have decided to invite applications from parents or guardians of children aged 3-7yrs (up to the end of Key Stage 1) who have found a provider and require financial support for the following:

• Speech and Language Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Therapeutic Assessment (to determine the therapy needed)
• Assessments to support an application for an EHCP

Procedure

Parents or guardians should have identified a provider before application.

Applications for bursaries are considered termly.  Applications for the Autumn Term should be submitted 15th June, for the Spring Term by 15th November and for the Summer Term by 15th February.

The bursary application form can be downloaded from the SBCT website and parents are asked to submit the application by email attachment to silverbirchapplications@gmail.com.

Any parent who is unable to manage this will be offered help with completing the form.

Bursaries will be valid until the end of the academic year in which the bursary is awarded, and a new application should be made in respect of the following year.

Parents will be informed by email of the result of their application before the beginning of the term for which the application is made.
